About ’Pong

’Pong uses photography as a medium to explore the relationship of everyday events and objects with the larger interconnected patterns of human societies.

His perspective of living has been displayed in a number of exhibitions including Darlinghurst PhotoArt Project, Marrickville Contemporary Art Prize, Walking the Street and solo exhibition, Passive Intruder. He was awarded Best Use of the Medium in Mardi Gras: the Slide Show Competition and a finalist in My Sydney Now Photography Competition. He also conveys series of photography via multimedia projects such as Anywhere Chairs in Sydney Songlines Workshop at Metro Screen and a series of music slideshows while travelling in his home city.

Born and raised in Bangkok, ’Pong graduated from Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication, Thammasat University with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism (Film and Photography). He then worked in various roles in event management industry as a Creative, Copywriter, Video Producer and Stage Manager for 13th Asian Games Opening and Closing Ceremony before relocating to Australia in 2001. He currently continues postgraduate study in Master of Digital Media at College of Fine Arts, University of New South Wales.
